William "Billy" Malone

William (Billy) Ralph Malone, 65 of Wolfe City passed away on Tuesday November 8th 2022 at home.

The son of Robert Earl Malone and Norma Jean Brown, born June 22, 1957 in Bonham. 

Billy grew up working on his grandfather’s farm, also working many years at the Cotton Center Gin & Grain Elevator that his parents owned.

Graduated class of 1975 at Wolfe City HS, attend Texas State Technical Institute in Waco, Tx earning certification in Diesel Mechanics in 1976. His grandson will graduate December 9, 2022 from the same school, now called TSTC with Diesel Mechanic along with off road diesel equipment.

April, 1983, he became a dad to his pride and joy Brandy Lynne. Later blessed with grandsons, Kaden, Trey & Jesse, and granddaughter Hailey Jo.

Billy, accomplished many trades from diesel mechanic, construction, cabinet maker, building displays for JC Penny. His passion was over the road truck driving.  Grandson Trey, rode with poppy on the big truck every chance he could.  Riding shot gun or the most comfortable place the sleeper, earning the nickname” little buddy.”

Billy, always gave back to his home town volunteering as, Wolfe City Volunteer Fire Department, Wolfe City HS Homecoming committee, Wolfe City Youth Sports Association, keeping fields, coaching, umpiring, and concession stand.  Wolfe City Athlete Club, Wolfe City PTO & Wolfe City Rodeo Association.

He is survived by his wife of forty years; Betty Teel Malone, daughter Brandy Lynne Malone Webb and husband Nick

Grandchildren, Kaden Michael Malone, Trey Dylan Jones, Jesse James Webb and Hailey Jo Webb

Mother-in-law Betty Joann Daughtery Teel of Cooper, Sister in laws Carolyn Teel Reiber and husband Gary of Commerce, Donna Teel Nicholson and husband Chip of Wolfe City and Rita Teel Nerren and husband Danny of Flower Mound, Laura Oats Slough and husband Steve of Commerce.

James Earl Malone’s daughter Ivy Malone Chapman, Aunts Connie Malone Robinson of Wolfe City, Pam Brown Danner of Arlington and Pat Yarbrough of Bonham, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents William Earl and Etta Harrell Malone, Vera Stowers Brown, Uncle James Earl Malone, father-in-law Fulton Winton Teel Jr. mother-in-law Charlsie Mason Teel Gardner and husband Charles Gardner, lifelong friends Steve Wright, Mike, and Monty Adams.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Wolfe City Volunteer Fire Department.

Memorial & Celebration of life will be held Saturday November 19th, 2022 @ 11:00 am at the Swinson Fairlie Home Place located at 6186 CR 4607 Commerce, TX 75428
