Thomas Parish

Thomas Carl Parish, known to most as Carl, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2014 in Greenville. He was born July 10, 1931 to Carl and Naomi Kilgore Parish in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He was a Navy Veteran and Air Freight Auditor. Carl married Gwendolyn Robinson on July 6, 1951 in Dallas. He is survived by his wife Gwendolyn; daughters, Nancy McDaniel and her husband James of Smithfield, NC, and Sharon Rodgers and her husband Blaine of Mesquite; granddaughters, Tammy McDaniel of Smithfield, NC, April Smith of Smithfield, NC, Jennifer Parish of Durant, OK, Leann Remmers of Georgetown, Juli Sharek of Smithfield, NC, and Cassie Bartel of Ft. Worth; grandsons, John Parish of Emory, Cameron Hiser of Mesquite, and Kenneth Hiser of Mesquite; 14 great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Chrissy Parish of Mt. Vernon. Carl is preceded in death by his parents; sons, Robert and David Parish; sisters, Margie Terrell, Elsie Parish, and Sue Roberts; and brother, Charlie Parish. Services will be at Peters Funeral Home Chapel, on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 10:00 am. Visitation with his family will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at 2:30 pm in the Dallas Ft. Worth National Veterans Cemetery, with military honors.
