Terry Thomas Emanuel, 40, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2013 in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Terry was born October 24, 1972 to Jerry Wayne and Sylvia Emanuel in Corona, California. Terry met and later married Shannon Cline in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Terry had the heart of a servant and a compassion for his fellow man that led him to a life of community service. He was a member of the Cumby Volunteer Fire Department where he proudly served as an EMT. Terry served his community in various capacities for over ten years. He served at Briarcliff Health Center and Hospice Plus; as well other facilities in the immediate area. Terry loved helping others; but his true passion was for his family. Terry loved to spend time with his family and friends and adored his wife Shannon and his daughter, Sarah. Terry's was a compassionate heart and giving spirit that will truly be missed by his family; his friends and his community. Terry is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Wayne Emanuel, Sr.; and brothers, Jerry Wayne, Jr. and J. W. Emanuel. He is survived by his wife, Shannon Emanuel; his daughter, Sarah Emanuel; son Jordan Emanuel; mother, Sylvia Singleton and her husband Jerry; brothers, Kevin Singleton, Kyle Singleton, Shane Singleton, Chad Singleton and Chris Singleton; sister Sheryl Carson and her husband Ray; as well as many friends and neighbors. A gathering of friends will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2013 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Peters Funeral Home in Greenville, Texas. A funeral service will immediately follow on the same day at 3:00 p.m. also at the funeral home.
