Sheila Hawkins Marshall, 66, of Quinlan, Texas passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday August 7th, 2024 with her husband Jeff at her side, due to a battle with cancer.
Sheila is survived by her husband Jeff Marshall, her oldest sibling, Sister Nancy Hawkins IHM of Scranton Pennsylvania and younger brother Paul Hawkins and wife Kerstin of Sanibel Island Florida, and nephew Conor Hawkins of Connecticut. Other family members are her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Dawn and Mike Hill of Angleton, Texas, and their children. Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph & Aileen Hawkins, and her in- laws Ernest & Loretta Marshall.
Sheila was born October 3rd, 1957, in New York City. She grew up in Westfield, New Jersey. While working for Bloomingdales, she transferred to Dallas in 1983 and decided to make Dallas her home. She worked in several retail positions before moving to Quinlan in 2001 after she met the love of her life Jeff in 2000. They had been married for 22 years. She worked as a deputy clerk for 8 years in the Hunt County Clerk’s office of Greenville Texas, then worked at LP Waters school in Greenville as an assistant teacher, teaching Pre-k 4 while waiting on her husband to retire.
She loved camping, cooking, going on vacation with her husband and friends. She loved helping others. She was always a trusting friend.
A memorial service/celebration of life will be held on Monday September 23rd, 2024, at Family Fellowship Church, located on 401 Division Street, Greenville Tx 75401. Service will begin at 6 PM in the chapel, Adult Ministries Wing. In lieu of flowers, please give a donation to the American Cancer Society.
