Shane Cockerham

Shane Christopher (Chris) Cockerham passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025 at the age of 53.

Chris suffered from Downs Syndrome. He enjoyed swinging, singing, and selfies. He was always seen with a diet soda in one hand and a flyswatter in the other hand. His favorite food was hamburgers. He also loved watching car racing and doing pranks.

His favorite activity was swinging on the porch and watching the world go by. He would sit and sing songs he made up himself. He also enjoyed getting soda, and taking selfies with firemen and police officers.

Chris passed away after a short battle with the flu. He was preceded in death by his mother, Christy Cockerham, and his grandparents, Gene and Joyce Williams. He is survived by his father, Harold Cockerham, and his step-mother Karen Cockerham, and his adopted family, Alan Brooks, Kathleen Burson, and Julian Moore.

Funeral arrangements have already been made with at Peters Funeral Home in Greenville.

It is hard to say goodbye to someone we love, but I am absolutely certain we will meet again on the other side if we have chosen to be saved by our Lord Jesus.
