Sara Martinez Medina Robles, age 85, of Greenville, passed away in the early afternoon hours of Friday, December 24, 2010 in the comfort of her home with her family and friends around her. She was born on November 2, 1925 in Villa de La Paz, San Luiz Potosi, Mexico to Felipe and Maria Martinez Medina, they preceded her in death. Sara was a loving Catholic wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother to all her family. She was a housewife who spent her time raising her family, crafting, planting, and cooking for her children and their friends. Sara is survived by her husband Jacinto Robles of Greenville; children, Mary Sue Gomez of Dallas, Lilia Hausheer, and husband Mark, of San Antonio, Gonzalo Robles, and wife Debbie, of Grapevine, Mary Marquez and husband Oscar, Ray Herrera and husband Benito, Carlos Robles and wife Katie, Betty Henry and husband Dan, Joe Robles, and Eva Mayo all of Greenville; 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great- grandchildren; and by one brother Florencio Martinez and one sister Maria Patrocinio Martinez, both of Monterrey, Mexico. Sara was preceded in death her son Jesse Robles, a grandson, Daniel Lopez, and two sons-in-law, Frank Gomez and Chris Mayo. A funeral mass will be held at 10 A.M., Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at St. Williams Catholic Church in Greenville. Burial will follow at I.O.O.F Cemetery in Caddo Mills with grandsons Roy Gomez, Rickey Marquez, David Lopez, Frankie Melendez Jr., Reagan Robles, and Joe Melendez serving as pallbearers and Cinto Robles and Dylan Mayo will be honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6 " 8 P.M. Monday evening at the funeral home with a rosary service beginning at 7 P.M.. The family would like to give a very special thank you to Saras caregivers, Adriana Rodriguez and Vista Care Hospice. Donations may be given to Vista Care of Greenville if so desired.
