Sammie Sherrod, 73, of Greenville passed away, Thursday, July 6, 2017 in Greenville.
Sammie was born in Coppell, TX on April 11, 1944 the daughter of Sam D. Miller and Mary A. Chaffin Miller. She worked at Lance "Production". She was married to Kenneth Carr Sherrod he proceeded her in death on April 27, 2002.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughter Katy Evans (Brad); sons Gary Sprabary, Buck Sprabary, Curtis Sprabary (Michelle); grandchildren Patrick Mollenhour, Susan Mollenhour, Stormie Evans, Tanya Hall, Nicole Sprabary, Lindsey Martin, Samantha Sprabary; great-grandchildren Rocky, Brooklyn, Mia, Patrick Jr., Peyton, Christopher, Thomas Jr., Taylor, Lanie, Benny, Haley, Inabelle; sisters Wilda and Shirley. She was preceded in death by her parents; son Casey; brother Bill Miller; sisters Ruthie, Oletha Ray, and great-grandson Aaron James.
A funeral service will be held 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Lucas McManus officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City with Gary Sprabary, Buck Sprabary, Patrick Mollenhour, Ralph Camacho, Keith Gravely, Rocky Barton III, and Mike Roberts serving as pallbearers. A visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday, July 10, 2017 at Peters Funeral Home.
