Richard VanWinkle

A Celebration of Life for Richard VanWinkle, age 57, of Emory, TX. will be held from 12:00 – 5:00 PM at 3873 RS CR 1605 Lone Oak, TX. 75453, on July 8, 2023. Mr. VanWinkle passed away on June 14, 2023.

Richard was born on May 23, 1966 in Portland, OR. to Harry and Dorothy VanWinkle.  He married Connie Vavra on November 11, 2011, in Prineville, OR. Richard enjoyed fishing, hunting, volunteer work at Good Samaritans, and loved spending time with his family. He was a School Bus Monitor at Rains County ISD. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Connie VanWinkle (Emory, TX.); daughters, Kelli VanWinkle and Michael Givens (Greenville, TX.), Kylee Watson and Rawlin Smith (Prineville, OR.), and Jennifer Sage and Evan (Emory, TX.); mother, Dorothy VanWinkle (Madras, OR.); stepmother, Ardis Snyder (Sherwood, OR.); sisters, Bonnie Snyder (Sherwood, OR.), Julie Wickman and John (Sherwood, OR.), and Alice Rex (Madras, OR.); sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Bill and Jennifer Campbell (Lone Oak, TX.);grandkids, Presley VanWinkle (Greenville, TX.), Kira VanWinkle (Greenville, TX.), Lux Givens (Greenville, TX.), Madeline VanWinkle (Prineville, OR.), Bella, Cooper and Sophia Watson (Prineville, OR.), and Aspen and Zevan Sage (Emory, TX.) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his father’s Barry Snyder and Harry VanWinkle.
