Raymond "Red" Purcell, 99, of Greenville, TX passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 in Greenville.

Raymond "Red" Purcell was born in Greenville, TX on May 31, 1917 to Samuel Waxie Cynthia Tweedle Purcell. Red was a Union Rep with Int. Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He married Gladys Roberts in Denton, TX, on February 14, 1965. She preceded him in death on November 7, 2015.

Those left to cherish his memory are daughters Cynthia Phippins and husband, Chris, Becky Isbell and husband, Johnny; son Bill Purcell; grandchildren CJ, Michaela, Robbie Lynn, Matthew R. Isbell, Amanda Isbell, Melissa McKinnon, Melody Martin; and numerous other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Friday, March 24, 2017 at Peters Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Thursday, march 23, 2017 at the Funeral Home.
