Polly Spradlin

Polly R. Spradlin (nee) Stephens, A wonderful Christian, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and, Great Grandmother, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday October 24^th @ 7:52pm. Surrounded by her loved ones, she quietly slipped away.

Polly was preceded in death by her Husband, Rev. Donald Edward Spradlin, Son, Michael Ray Spradlin, and, Son-in-law Ryan Lee Jarrett.

Father: Prince Ledford Stephens, Mother: Nancy Tavy Richardson, Brothers: Kelly Clayton Stephens, Gaylon Thurston Stephens, and, Gregory Sterling Stephens. Sister: Dillie Yvonne Wells.

She is survived by Sons: Donald Wade Spradlin w/Daughter-in-law Rowena C. Spradlin and Daniel Wayne Spradlin w/Daughter-in-law Angela D. Spradlin. Daughter: Romola Joy Jarrett (nee) Spradlin. Daughter-in-law Tracy Hamilton. Sisters: Lillian Essie Johnson, Betty Katherine McDavid, Myrtle Cora Berding, Reda Frances Garland, and Bonnie Lou West. Brother: Elvis Barton Stephens.

13 Grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren.

She enjoyed reading books, camping with family, and singing Gospel music, as well as, spending time with her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Family reunions were always a special time for her, and, she always looked forward to the “Sisters Weekend” get together. Sometimes they even let the brothers join…. Her love of family was only second to God and her faith in Jesus.

Psalm 71:18   Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy       strength unto this generation, and thy power to everyone who is to come.

Her work on Earth is done. Her reunion in Heaven has just begun.

A Memorial Service will be held in the spring, when she will be interred next to her beloved husband of 47 years.
