Funeral Service Olivia Mahand Manning will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Greenville with Bro. Roger Ratliff officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 27, 2021 from 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM at Peters Funeral Home in Greenville.

Olivia Manning, age 100, of Campbell, passed away peacefully at her home on December 22, 2021. She is now with her friends, parents, and the love of her life of 59 years, Doy.

Olivia was born on April 21, 1921 in Cumby, Tx to Walter and Francis Mahand. She grew up in Rains County where she played basketball for three years, she then moved to Miller Grove where she continued her love for basketball where her team went to state a couple of times. Olivia graduated from Miller Grove High School in 1939, she was the first graduating class to get class rings, which she loved and wore proudly. Olivia married Doy Manning in Greenville, Tx on Sunday, November 26, 1939. They moved to Irving, Tx where she worked as a church secretary for First Baptist Church of Irving for 11 years with Bro. Kincade. In 1961, Olivia and Doy bought the farm in Campbell and built a house which they moved into in 1966. They joined First Baptist Church of Greenville where she became the church secretary for nine years with Bro. Summeral. After her husband, Doy passed she joined First Baptist Church of Campbell and served several years as the Sunday school secretary. Olivia loved church, gardening, sewing, cooking, crocheting, and absolutely adored her family.

Olivia is survived by her daughter, Leisa Chapman of Cooper; granddaughters, Miranda Rodriguez and husband Ryan of Campbell, Eleisha Johnson of Dallas, Olivia Jordan and husband Eric of Garland; great grandchildren, Ryanna Rodriguez of Campbell, Rylan Rodriguez of Campbell, Joshua Rodriguez and wife Katie of Lone Oak, and Dezirae Rodriguez of Cumby, along with a host of loving relatives and friends.

Olivia was preceded in death by her husband, Doy Manning; parents, Walter and Francis Mahand, and her brother, Jack Mahand.

Pallbearers: Joshua Rodriguez, Josh Dawson, Roger Ward Ratliff, Lance Ratliff, Todd Ratliff, Edd Stuart Jr., David Garcia, and Elias Garcia.

Honorary Pallbearers: Edd Stuart Sr. and Richard Ratliff.

Arrangements are under the direction of Peters Funeral Home, Greenville, TX.
