Olan Andrews

Olan Jean Andrews, 87, passed away quietly on Monday, July 30, 2012 in Allen Texas. Olan was born to Joel M. and Ida M. Andrews on August 30, 1924 in Campbell, Texas. Olan met Billye Dean Austin and later married her on November 29, 1944. To this union was born five children, Linda, Billy, Janice, Joel and Jessica. Olan began his public ministry at the House of Prayer Church in Greenville in 1962. He would later pastor several churches in north Texas for the Assemblies of God for over forty years. Olan is preceded in death by his parents, Joel and Ida; his brother, Julian M. Andrews and his beloved wife, Billye Dean. Those left to celebrate his life include his sons; Billy Andrews and Joel Andrews with his wife Kimberly; his daughters, Linda Mandrell, Janice Andrews and Jessica Andrews; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; as well as a host of friends and neighbors. A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Peters Funeral Home in Greenville, Texas. A funeral service will be held the following day, Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. A private family interment will follow the service at Shady Grove Cemetery. Reverend Kenneth Ballard of the House of Prayer will officiate.
