Norma "Rusty" Louise Hays

Norma Louise “Rusty” Hay, 86 of Caddo Mills, TX. passed away on October 7, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones.

“Rusty” was born on September 29, 1936 in Strawn, TX to David and Cecelia Mercer. She loved gardening estate sales and seek-a-word puzzles. “Rusty” was the owner and bartender of the Silver Dollar Saloon in Fort Worth, Texas for 28 years where she was known as the “Queen of the Silver Dollar”

She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Witte (Caddo Mills, TX.), and Gail Johnson (Fort Worth, TX.); son, John Hay, Jr. (Fort Worth, TX.) as well as seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

“Rusty” was preceded in death by her parents; David and Cecelia Mercer, two brothers, and three sisters.
