Neva Dicks

Neva Mae Dicks, age 77, long-time resident of Greenville, passed away Friday, October 1, 2010 at the Briarcliff Nursing Home in Greenville following a lengthy illness. She was born December 2, 1932 to Earl and Gladys (Gross) Rickabaugh in Luton, Iowa. She graduated from Luton High School in 1951. She was united in marriage to Ray Ernest Dicks on March 16, 1952 in Onawa, Iowa. They resided and raised their children in Sioux City, Iowa then later moved to Texas where they eventually settled in Greenville. She I survived by her children, Reva Hottendorf, and husband Roy, of Greenville, Kevin Dicks, and wife Terri, of McGregor, TX, Rick Dicks, and wife Nancy, of Allen, Kella Schaible, and husband Leon, of Longwood, FL, Davy Dicks, and wife Bonnie, of Huntsville, Mikal Dicks of Greenville, and Dana Kruger, and husband Mark, of Greenville; 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; brothers, Leland Rickabaugh, and wife Cathy, of Whiting, IA and Timothy Rickabaugh of Onawa, IA; and a host of other extended family members. Neva was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Ray Dicks, a son, Marty Rene Dicks who died at birth, her parents, and one brother, Carl Rickabaugh. There will be a celebration of her life for family and friends at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Authentic Life Fellowship of God Church, 5500 W I-30 Frontage Road, Greenville, TX.
