Martha J. Slocum of Greenville, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017 in Dallas. Funeral services will be held at Peters Funeral Home at 2:30 PM Thursday, February 2, 2017 with Pastor Carl Crenshaw officiating. Burial will follow at Merit Cemetery with Bryan Keels, Cobee Crenshaw, Carl Crenshaw, Alvin Hammer, Tony Zambino, and Chris Hammer serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held before the service from 1:00 - 2:30 PM, Thursday, at the Funeral Home.
Martha was born December 20, 1939 in Dallas, Texas to Robert Richard Slocum and Irene Fannie. She was a seamstress for many years.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Cindy Zambino and husband, Tony, of Ft. Worth, Sandra K. Broach, of Wolfe City; son, Alvin Hammer and wife, Vicky, of Greenville; brother, Bob Slocum and wife, Joyce, of Malakof; sister, Frances Slocum; grandchildren, Bryan Keels, Priscilla Crenshaw, Chris Hammer, Joslyn Caviness, Ricky Broach, Shelby Hammer, Lynnzee Hammer; great-grandchildren, Cobee Crenshaw, Conner Crenshaw, Tyler Keels, Abby Keels, Makayla Fuller, Caleb Dilbeck, Jeremy Wayne Shguit Jr.; and numerous other family members and friends.
