Lura Bowman

Lura Ann Ellis Bowman, 75, of Campbell, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016 in Greenville, TX. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Daniels Chapel Congregational Methodist Church in Naples, TX with Pastor Tim Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Springhill Cemetery with Sidney Bowman, Wayne Cantrell, Austin Walden, Wade Jones, Bobby Brumley, Bo Ragland, and Alan Ragland serving as Pallbearers.

Lura was born July 15, 1941 in Naples, Texas to Omer Wayland and Emma Paralee Jacobs. She worked for E-Systems as an Electronics Assembler and materiel Handler for over 30 years. Lura enjoyed sewing, quilting, and reading. She loved spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory are sons, Terry Bowman and wife Tracey, of Campbell, Teddy Dale Bowman, of Campbell; daughter, Teresa Johnson, of Addison; sisters, Wanda Ragland and husband Glen, of Naples, Marion Birmingham, of Greenville, Judith Robison and husband Bill, of Naples; brother, Ronnie Jacobs and wife Linda, of Richmond, TX; grandchildren, Kassie Bowman, Lauren Cantrell, Ezriel Wilson, and Sidney Bowman; great-grandchildren, Riley Wilson, Zachary Cantrell, Jackson Gratton, and Kash Walden. She was preceded in death by her, parents; son, Tony Joe Bowman; and brother Jimmy Jacobs.
