Lue Vada Alice Griffis Warren, 85, of Celeste, Texas went to be with the Lord on October 31, 2009. A service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Celeste on Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at 3 P.M., with Pastor Jim Sherwin officiating. Visitation will be held at 1:30 P.M. at the church prior to the service. Mrs. Warren, wife of 53 years to late husband Billy Warren, shared her love of life with family and friends. A smile was never far from Lues lips as she demonstrated the Godly roles of wife, mother, and friend to others. She had few expressed needs; yet, was quick to serve the needs of others unselfishly and willingly. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Celeste, where she loved serving the Lord through teaching Sunday school. Lue has been in nursing care for the last six years. She loved her children. Most people who knew Lue would remember the wonderful pies and cakes that came from her oven. To remember Lue is to remember the simple celebrations of life demonstrated by aromas coming from her kitchen or the kind word coming from her heart. She will be missed. She is survived by two sons, Andy Warren of Celeste and Kevin Warren of Wolfe City; two daughters, Carolyn Warren Rhodes and Dana Warren Clark of Celeste; 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Warren was preceded in death by her husband William A. Warren and son Freddy Warren.
