Leona Burnett

BURNETT, LEONA MARIE, of Houston, formerly Greenville, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 in Houston. Ms. Burnett was born in Hebron, Texas on February 10, 1918 to James Henry Lloyd and Clara Belle Harper. They both precede her in death. She married Burl Morris Burnett in Dallas in 1950. He also precedes her in death. She is survived by one son, Richard Craig Burnett, of Houston; one grandson, Richard Brian Burnett, of Austin; and one granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth Burnett, of Denver. Ms. Burnett was also preceded in death by one sister, Lena Mae Belton, and one brother, William Albert Lloyd. A graveside service has been set for 10 A.M., Friday, September 12, 2008 at McWright Cemetery near Celeste with Father Gary Herbst officiating. There will also be a memorial service held at 2:30 P.M. that afternoon at the St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Farmers Branch. 2783 Valwood Pkwy. Graveside services are under the direction of Peters Funeral Home.
