Kenneth John Rice, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on June 1, 2024, in Greenville, Texas. He was born on September 3, 1951, in Detroit Michigan.
Kenny led a colorful and fulfilling life defined by his adventurous spirit and warm heart. he served as the VP operations at ECC paper company.
He also worked as a truck driver for many years, traversing numerous states and experiencing the beauty of the open road.
Outside of work, Kenny pursued his passions with vigor. An avid lover of the outdoors, he enjoyed jet skiing, water sports, scuba diving, camping, and riding motorcycles. After retiring, he found solace in traveling to different states and even witnessing a space launch in Florida.
However, Kenny's proudest accomplishments stemmed from his family. His children were the light of his life, and he treasured every moment spent building lasting memories with them and his grandchildren.
Known for his kindness and generosity, Kenny never hesitated to lend a helping hand to those in need. His infectious warmth made him an instant friend to everyone he met, leaving a lasting impact wherever he went.
In mourning his loss yet cherishing his memory are his surviving family members: Judy Doughty (sister), Michael Rice (son), Michelle and Brian Dooley (daughter and son-in-law), Eric Rice (grandson), Nathan Rice (grandson), Colby Dooley (grandson), Andrew Rice (grandson), and Elizabeth Dooley (granddaughter).
He is preceded in death by his Parents; Robert and Dorothy Rice, brothers Gary Rice and Robert Rice.
A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate Kenny's life will be held on June 14th, 2024 at 725 Trails Pkwy in Garland, TX from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
Kenny's unwavering optimism and zest for life will forever resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace knowing that he was loved deeply and will be remembered fondly by all whose lives he touched.
