Joseph Quiram, Jr., age 79, of Greenville, passed away in the late afternoon hours of Friday, January 15, 2010 at the Greencrest Manor Nursing Home in Greenville. He was born on June 16, 1930 in Riesel, TX to Joseph and Mary Zander Quiram, they preceded him in death. After high school, Joe served in U.S. Army where he was wounded in the Korean War. Mr. Quiram married Jackie Hanes in Rockwall on March 6, 1982 and spent the next 27 making memories together. He retired from Tom Thumb after 26 years working as a Master Meat Cutter and Market Manager. Joe attended the Trinity Life Baptist Church in Garland. In his free time, Joe would be found fishing and spending as much time outdoors as possible. He loved his time teaching Sunday school but most enjoyed the time he spent with his family. Joes kind heart and good nature left a legacy for all to follow. He is survived by his wife, Jackie Quiram of Greenville; two sons, Keith Quiram, and wife Lynn, of Ponca City, OK, and Daryl Quiram of Tulsa, OK; two step-daughters, Cindy Mitchel, and husband Dewayne, of Logansport, LA, and Cathy Santilli, and husband Tony, of Greenville; grandchildren, Kip, Whitney, and D.J. Quiram; step-grandchildren, Ricky and Kris Kirby and Jon and Jenni Santilli; and step-great-grandchildren, Trace, Tanner, Kaylin, and Slade Kirby.
