Joseph Calvin JC Colley, of Greenville, Texas left this life to sit on the porch with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Monday, March 05, 2012 at Briarcliff Health and Rehabilitation Center after a long fight with heart disease. Born in Hatfield, Arkansas, December 22, 1934, to Coda Colley and Ola Mae Colley, Joseph lived a long, happy, and blessed life with his wife of 57 years Wanda. Joseph had a passion for airplanes. He retired from E-Systems after 38 years and lived out his retirement flying model planes and playing with his air craft simulator on his computer. As a passionate believer in Christ our Lord,JC was known for helping others. For example, on a trip to Arkansas, JC and his wife Wanda stopped at a rest stop where Joseph saw a vet in a wheel chair holding up a sign wanting food. After talking to the man, he discovered that the man was trying to get to his son which was due for surgery. JC gave the man a cooler of food and money for gas. After asked why he did all that, he simply said, Jesus Christ said to feed the hungry and cloth the naked, and when Jesus says something, I take it serious. JC was survived by his wife, Wanda, his daughters Louise and husband Kyle, Deborah and husband Mark, and Karen and husband Kurt; son Larry and wife Tina; sisters Minnie and Myrtle; brother Freeman; Grandchildren, Christian, Joseph with wife Jessica, Christopher with wife Gloria, Brandon, Cynthia with husband Brandon, Nicholas, Jillian with husband Nate, Kristopher with wife Amanda, Taylor, Spencer, and Eden; Great Grandchildren, Wyatt, Cheyenne, Justin, Korben, Camille, Madison, Sean, Chloe, and Jillian. He has left this life to start a new life in Heaven to be with his sisters, Florence, Delcie, Geneva, Jenolla; brothers, Oscar and Vernon; Granddaughter Amber and Great-Granddaughter Elizabeth. Visitation will be held March 7th at 6pm-8pm at Peters Funeral Home; the funeral will be the held March 8th at 10am at Peters Funeral Home, and the burial will take place Friday at 2pm at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Cove, Arkansas.
