John Cole

John Robert Cole passed away in Greenville, Texas on Thursday evening, May 28, 2020. John was born in Dallas, Texas on December 25, 1945 the son of James Robert Cole and Juanita Moore. John Robert Cole married Linda Cole in Cumby, Texas in 1993 and have been married for 27 years. John operated as a truck driver for over 40 years and served the U.S. Army for 1 year. He loved reading louis l’amour, singing old country and gospel songs, and was a vivid storyteller.

Those left to cherish John’s memory are his wife, Linda Cole; son, J.C. and wife Michelle Cole of Greenville; grandchildren, James Cole and Katie, Brittney Cole and Dallas; brothers Bill and and wife Tina Cole, David and wife Roe Cole; sister Opal Cecil Harris; and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends

John was preceded in death by his parents, James and Juanita; and brother James Wiley.

Visitation will be on Sunday May 31, 2020 from 4-6pm at Peters Funeral Home

Service will be held on Monday June 1, 2020 at 2pm in Cross Trails Cowboy Church.
