Jimmy Dale McIntosh

Jimmy McIntosh passed away surrounded by family on September 29 , 2024. 

Jimmy graduated high school in 1975 from Neff High School in La Mirada, CA.  Jimmy served as an Electrician’s Mate Fireman Apprentice in the United States Navy from 1975-1977 when he received an honorable discharge.  He then became a licensed master plumber and helped build the infrastructure of many buildings in Southern California and Texas.

After that, Jimmy  was a plumbing inspector for Garland, Texas until he retired.  He was a hardworking, caring, charming, generous, and determined man.  Jimmy was always willing to lend a hand when someone needed help, especially with plumbing. He goofed around with his son and then later his grandchildren. Play time with Pops was a favorite activity.

Jimmy  loved competing in equestrian events (team penning) together as a family. He loved taking his grandchildren fishing and watching his son compete in rodeos.

One of Jimmy's  proudest moments was watching his son become a father himself. He was very proud of the godly man he turned into.  Jimmy found joy in playing guitar, fishing, and tinkering around on his 1949 Oldsmobile. Jimmy was an accomplished guitarist. He started playing at 15. He performed for many friends and family.

Jimmy is survived by his Mother; Wilma (Griffith) McIntosh; Brothers Mikel McIntosh (Debbie), Gary McIntosh (Kelly);Sister  Marsha (McIntosh) Oler (Randy); Wife Nancy McIntosh; Son Taylor McIntosh (Emily);Granddaughters  Kaye Ann McIntosh, Elizabeth McIntosh; Stepson Jebin Harvey (Denise)
