James Smith

James Smith, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, rode his Harley on the streets of gold into the gateway of Heaven on September 27, 2023 in Greenville, Texas at the age of 63. Born on October 22, 1960 in Dallas, Texas, James was a man who touched the lives of many with his kind and welcoming personality.

James embarked on a career as a machine operator for envelope production. He dedicated many years of his life to this role, showing great skill and commitment. James took pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic.

While James was dedicated to his career, he valued family above all else. He found immense joy in spending time with his loved ones, especially his beloved wife Belinda Smith. They shared countless precious memories together and faced life's joys and challenges hand in hand. Belinda will forever cherish their time together and find comfort in the love they shared.

James was a loving father to two children, Candice Rivera Hernandez and Andrew Smith. He adored them unconditionally and made every effort to provide for their needs and create a nurturing environment for them to grow. His children will remember his unwavering support, encouragement, and guidance throughout their lives.

As a devoted grandfather, James found immense happiness in the presence of his grandchildren. Mason Smith, Aliyana Vargas, Jesus Vargas, and Avalyn Rivera were the light of his life. Whether it was sharing stories with them or watching them play joyfully, he treasured every moment spent with them.

Outside of work and family life, James had several passions that brought him immense joy. He enjoyed the peacefulness of fishing and spent many hours casting lines into serene lakes and rivers. Riding his beloved Harley Davidson allowed him to experience the freedom of the open road while feeling the wind against his face. Additionally, James had a fondness for occasional visits to the casino where he embraced the thrill of chance. These hobbies provided him with an outlet for relaxation and enjoyment.

It is also worth noting that James proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. Through his military service, he demonstrated bravery, patriotism, and a deep commitment to defending the values we hold dear. James's dedication to his country reflects his courage and selflessness.

James leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and kindness. He will be deeply missed by his surviving family members, including his wife Belinda Smith and their children Candice Rivera Hernandez and Andrew Smith. His grandchildren, Mason Smith, Aliyana Vargas, Jesus Vargas, and Avalyn Rivera, will forever carry memories of their loving grandfather in their hearts.

In addition to his immediate family, James is survived by his niece Chalee Gates, nephew Chase Gates, and niece Kalynn Gates along with numerous other relatives and friends who were touched by his warm spirit. Their lives were enriched by the presence of this remarkable man who left an indelible mark on their hearts.

He was preceded in death by his mom Betty Reeves.

James Smith's impact on the lives he touched was immeasurable. His memory will be cherished as a reminder of the importance of love, family, and embracing every moment. As we bid farewell to this extraordinary soul, let us celebrate his life with gratitude for the joy he brought into our lives.
