James Carroll Merrell

James Carroll Merrell, age 87, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Mother ( Ruth) Father( Audrey) Sister( Delores) brother( Dell) and other loved ones on November 18, 2023.

James Merrell was born in Sulphur Springs Tx on August 25,1936. He graduated from Commerce High School in 1955. And played football (for the Tigers)

James loved his family dearly. He loved helping others, especially all his family. He was a Christian man and attended Church of Ridge Crest Baptist Church in Greenville. James loved to fish, bowl, and go see the USA on vacations with his family.

James is survived by Joan Windsor. His only child is Glenda Ranell Merrell Bowren. One precious granddaughter, Rachel Carroll Bowren Kelley. Husband, Kenneth Kelley, and three great-grandchildren. Easton James Kelley, Kade David Kelley and Nolen Gage Kelley. His sisters Marguerite Gholston and Shirley Scruggs, and several special nieces and nephews.
