James Robert Fortner, Jr.

"James "Jim" Robert Fortner Jr., age 55, passed away on Tuesday, November 1st, 2022 in Plano, Texas. Jim was born in Dallas, Texas on October 23rd,1967. Jim graduated from DeVry Institute of Technology with an associate's degree in Applied Electronics Technology in the spring of 1988. Jim applied his passion for technology by working for EDS for almost 25 years. After EDS, he worked as an auto parts specialist and helped many individuals with vehicle and motorcycle maintenance. As a car and motorcycle fanatic, he was always eager for an opportunity to use his tools. Jim loved to travel and had a deep appreciation for nature, as well as photography. He enjoyed spending his leisure time hiking, camping, and hammocking. His other hobbies included geocaching, riding his motorcycles and bicycles, and playing golf and disc golf. 

Survivors include his beloved daughter, Samantha Daniels, son-in-law, Jacob Daniels, mother, Diane Fortner, and father, James Fortner.

Jim is preceded in death by his brother, Steven Fortner.
