Jackie Ann Sanzone, born on January 3, 1932, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2025, in St. Paul, Texas. She lived a full and vibrant life that spanned over 93 years, marked by her warmth, kindness, and a spirit that touched the hearts of many.

Jackie's professional journey was remarkable; she was one of the first 50 individuals hired by Motorola, Inc. in Austin, Texas, where she worked for 19 years before retiring. Following her retirement, she made her home in Mayfield, Kentucky, where her spirit continued to shine brightly. Beyond her career, Jackie served her country honorably in the United States Air Force from 1950 to 1952, earning the American Spirit Honor Medal on July 2, 1951.

Education was also an important part of Jackie’s life, as she graduated from Graves County High School in Lowes, Kentucky, in 1949. Her love for learning and growing never waned throughout her life.

Jackie's passions were varied and brought joy not just to her but to those around her. She loved to sing, often participating in jam sessions in Mission, Texas, and entertaining audiences on stage at the Wylie Opry. She discovered her voice later in life, delighting friends and family with her remarkable yodeling abilities. Her engaging and loving personality shone through at community events, such as when she spoke at the Veterans Day celebrations in Sachse, Texas.

In addition to her musical talents, Jackie had a creative flair as a seamstress, capable of crafting beautiful garments from any fabric and pattern. She held a top place while playing cornhole at the Ariel Point Assisted Living facility, showcasing her competitive spirit. Throughout her life, she enjoyed dancing, cooking, and playing cards. She also cherished her time spent fishing, boating, racing cars, and traveling, enriching her life with experiences and adventures.

Jackie's proudest accomplishments include raising three wonderful daughters from her marriage to Richard T. Bachman: Darlene Calkins, Gayle Bachman Tye, and Sharolyn (Sherry) Duncan. Her legacy continues with her grandchildren, Larissa Bachman Ellis, Ronnie Lynch, Richard Lynch (deceased), Shannon Litchfield (deceased), Deidre Robertson, Christopher Duncan and Angela Duncan Cox, R. Scott Cronch, April Monroe, Andrew Campbell, along with numerous great-grandkids and great-great-grandkids who will always remember the love and joy she shared with them.

Jackie is preceded in death by her second husband William Michael Sanzone, her grandmother Lela Sanderson Carter, her father William Edger Bazzell, her mother Aleta Sanderson Bazzell, and her brothers Donald and Edward Bazzell, along with many cherished cousins.

As we celebrate the incredible life of Jackie Ann Sanzone, we remember her as a kind, loving, and giving friend whose life was a testament to joy, creativity, and dedication to her family and community. Her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
