Inez Garcia

Inez Garcia, age 73, of Sulphur, Oklahoma, formerly of Greenville, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the Artesian Nursing Home in Sulphur, OK. He was born on April 20, 1938 in Maxwell, Texas to Florentino and Trina Pecina Garcia, they preceded him in death. Inez married Guadalupe Garcia in 1958 and together they spent the next 47 years raising a family and making a lifetime of memories until her passing in 2005. Inez worked for the Cactus Saddle Company in Greenville and eventually retired from the Northeast Texas Farmers Coop. In his free time, he enjoyed watching wrestling. Those who knew Inez know that his greatest joy in life came from the time he spent with his family. Inez is survived by four children, Olivia Abrego, Jolinda Ugalde, and husband Carlos, and Jimmy Garcia, all of Greenville, and Augustine Garcia, and wife Ashley, of Wynnewood, OK; siblings, Ramona Gonzales, and husband Isobel, Lupe Garcia, and wife Guadalupe, Susie Shanks, and husband Walter, and Johnny Garcia, and wife Alice; and by 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Paul Garcia, Jesse Garcia, Erasmo Garcia, Santos Garcia, and Cruz Garcia. Services for Mr. Inez Garcia will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Peters Funeral Home with Deacon Lee Davis officiating. Burial will follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Caddo Mills with Sam Garcia, Frank Garcia, Ritchie Garcia, George Ray Melendez, Jeff Garcia, and John Allen Garcia serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6 " 8 P.M. Wednesday evening at the funeral with a rosary service beginning at 7:00 P.M.
