Harold Gann

Funeral services for Harold E. Gann, age 85 of Greenville will be 10:00 am, Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Cook officiating. Interment will follow in the Holland Cemetery in Wood County with the members of the Local 745 Teamsters Union and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be 6 until 8 pm, Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Peters Funeral Home. Harold Eugene Gann passed away Monday, December 27, 2010 at Colonial Lodge Tender Care. He was born in Dallas on July 15, 1925 the son of George Henry and Sally Elizabeth Thompson Gann. He married Paula D. Martin in Dallas in 1942. She preceded him in death in 1983. He later married Dixie Cooper in Lone Oak in 2003. She preceded him death in 2008. Harold was a retired teamster truck driver . He served in the United States Navy during the WWII. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca & Orville Gentry of Greenville; grandchildren, Dee Hart, Eugene & Brenda Gentry, Phillip & Susan Gentry, Jena Gann and Bryan Gann; great-grandchildren, Reece, Tyler, Craig and Carissa Gentry, Cade and Jace Hart, Payton, Brandon, and Drew Gann. He was preceded in death by his parents; both wives; son, Ronnie Gann; grandson, David Gann; three brothers and two sisters.
