Harley Mitchell Brown, 85, of Greenville passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015 in Greenville. Funeral service will be 2:00pm Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Butch Bruton officiating. Burial will follow in IOOF Cemetery in Caddo Mills under the direction of Peters Funeral Home. Family visitation will be held from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Monday, June 29, 2015 at Peters Funeral Home. Harley was born October 15, 1929 in Mont Belvieu, Texas to Hardy Mack Brown and Eva Leander Warden Brown. He met and married Marjorie Rae Fite in Washington D.C. and they were married for 62 years before she preceded him in death in 2011. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and after about 12 years of service he was discharged and started working for the Government. Harley is survived by his daughters Deborah Morel and husband David of Greenville, Marjorie "Patti" Guin and husband Jim of Stephenville and Lena Ehlert and husband Mark of Edmonds, WA; sisters Betty Cogle and husband Harold of Rolla, MO and Retta Aranos of Easley, SC; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie Brown, his parents and one daughter Annette Simmons.
