Glenna VanHorne

Glenna Jo VanHorne, 82, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2014 in Dallas, Texas, after a courageous battle against cancer. Born March 27, 1931, in Pampa, Texas, she lived in Olney, Whitesboro, Graham, Monahans, and Midland, before settling in Greenville, Texas. She worked mostly in the home caring for her husband and two sons. Glenna Jo was preceded in death by her husband Creighton Gayle "Hank" VanHorne. Glenna Jo and Gayle were married in Olney, Texas on October 3, 1948. Survivors include her sons, Tommy of Greenville, and Larry of Portland; sister, Shirley Rietman of Killeen; brother, John Robinson of Atlanta; two grandchildren, Scott and Matthew; and two great-grandchildren Maddison and Dylan. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, March 8 at College Station Cemetery 2530 Texas Ave S, College Station, Texas. Time to be determined. Relatives and friends are welcome at the graveside.
