Glen Dell Gentry, age 76, of Greenville, passed away in the late morning hours of Thursday, June 2, 2011 at her home. She was born on May 4, 1935 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Willis and Gladys Gowen Terrell, they preceded her in death. After graduation from high school, Glen married Harold Lee Gentry and together they spent the next 43 years traveling the world with the United States Arms, raising a family, and creating a lifetime of memories that live on in the lives of those they leave behind. He also preceded her in death. Those who knew Glen will remember her for her sassy personality and her ways of telling you just how it is no matter who you were. She loved the outdoors and to sew, craft and paint. Glen was a selfless lady with a heart of gold who spent years volunteering as a Pink Lady at the hospital. She never met a stranger and those who had the opportunity to know her loved her and she returned that love with an unconditional friendship unlike any other. Glen is survived by sons, Ricky Gentry, and wife Doreen, of Weeki Wachee, FL, Rocky Gentry, and wife Vicki, of Reading, OH, and Ron Gentry, and wife Stacy, of Greenville; daughters, Belinda Brignon, and husband Bill, of Greenville, and Darlynda Szvetecz of Leesburg, FL; sister, Dorothy Coffey of Ft. Worth; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Memorial services for Ms. Glen Gentry will be held at 10 A.M., Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Crestview Christian Church in Greenville.
