Georgia Pauline Wenk, age 65, of Greenville, passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the Hunt Regional Medical Center of Greenville. She was born on July 22, 1945 in Amarillo to Milford Pace and Georgia Imogene (Hicks) Ledbetter, they preceded her in death. Georgia graduated from Roxton High School as a member of the class of 1963. Throughout her life, she worked as a professional seamstress at numerous factories and she loved making things for her family and friends. Georgia married Charles William Wenk in Sulphur Springs on February 14, 1982 and together they made 27 years of memories that will live on in those she knew and loved. Mrs. Wenk enjoyed sewing, reading, caring for animals, and visiting with family and friends. She is survived by her husband Charles; three sons, Merrit Cantrell of Tulsa, Ok, Roger Cantrell, and fianc Tammy, of Wills Point, and Scott Cantrell, and fianc Jamie, of Greenville; grandchildren, Cassandra Gutierrez, and husband Alfredo, of Mt. Vernon, Wayne Cantrell, and fianc Lauren Morrison, of Sulphur Springs, Katelyn Cantrell and MaKayla Cantrell, both of Jefferson; and great grandchildren, Annabelle Gutierrez and Madasyn Gutierrez, both of Mt. Vernon. Memorial services for Georgia Wenk will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, October 11, 2010 at Peters Funeral Home.
