Gary Lynn Patrick, age 51, of Campbell, passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, May 19, 2011 at the Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville. Gary was born in Commerce on January 30, 1960 to Jack Donald and Susie Nadine (Mobley) Patrick, they preceded him in death. He worked his life as a truck driver but never really considered it work. His free spirit was perfect for the trucker known as Stroker . In his free time, Gary could be found hunting pigs or being outdoors but his greatest joys came from being a loyal and dedicated family man and friend to those he knew and loved. He loved Jesus and recently was attending the Cross Power Church in Campbell. Uncle Giddy leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will not soon be forgotten. Gary is survived by his life partner and companion, Kay Lowery of Campbell; brothers, Ellis Benton Patrick, of Commerce, and Harry Patrick, and wife Amy, of Cooper; sister, Linda Holley, and husband Howard, of Greenville; sons, John Christopher Lowery and Michael Dee Lowery, both of Campbell; grandchildren, Taylor Dee Ann, Tara Brooke, John Christopher II (Jace), and Lillian Rose Marie; aunts, Rosie Lee Mobley and Barbara Jean Mobley both of Commerce; best friend, Doug Waller of Greenville; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Gary was also preceded in death by brothers, Jack Donald Patrick, Jr. and Kenneth Donald Patrick. A memorial service for Gary Patrick will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, May 28, 2011 at the Cross Power Church in Campbell with his brother, Harry Patrick, officiating.
