Evelyn Thompson

Evelyn Louise Thompson, 71, passed away Friday, March 8, 2013 in Denison, Texas. Evelyn was born to Wallace and Ida Pride on May 17, 1941 in Atlanta, Georgia. She would meet and later marry Robert Thompson in 1962. Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ida; her husband, Robert; daughter Elizabeth Scott; one brother and two sisters. Those left to celebrate her life include her son, Robert Thompson and his wife Julie; daughters, Teresa Ortiz and her husband, Robert; Tanya Thompson; sisters, Elizabeth Scarborough and Catherine Young; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; as well as, numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at McWright Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. A gathering of friends and family will be held the same day from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
