Memorial services Elsie Frances Pinson will be held at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, September, 22, 2015 at Peerless Assembly of God. Mrs. Pinson passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015 in Sulphur Springs. Elsie Frances Pinson was born November 10, 1946 in Colorado Springs, CO. She moved to Dallas, Texas at the age of 18 to live with her aunt and uncle. Sometime later, her aunt and uncle bought a house next to the Piedmont Assembly of God Church. At that time, her future husband, Nickie Pinson, was the assistant pastor of the church. One afternoon the director at the daycare of this church came over and asked Elsie to watch the kids for a bit. This resulted in her being hired full time, and she met Nickie. On March 10, 1974, they married, and moved to Caddo Mills, where Nickie became pastor of his first church. Their first child, Miranda was born in December of that year. They moved to Sulphur Springs in 1978 when he became pastor at Peerless Assembly of God. In 1979 their second child, Nathan, was born. They moved into the community of Peerless in 1980. Their third child, Seth, was born that same year. Over the years, she supported her husband in his many endeavors including becoming foster parents, a summer camp, a home for young men, running a private christian school, operating a small country store & cafe, and many other ventures. Elsie spent her life as a pastor's wife, homemaker, foster mother, and many supportive roles in her husband's ministries. Survivors include: husband, Nickie Pinson; daughter, Miranda Bailey, and husband Kevin; sons, Nathan Pinson, and wife, Amanda and Seth Pinson, and wife, Elizabeth (Beth); ten grandchildren; brothers, Ralph Alger and Larry Alger; and sister, Dora Jackson.
