Doris Irene Thornton

Doris Irene Thornton, 82, of Greenville, Texas went to heaven to be with the Lord on July 21, 2023. She died peacefully at her home.

Doris was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Maggie Fite, her son, Howard Thornton, and her granddaughter Kaylie Bullock. She is survived by her children Dwayne Thornton (Gena) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Debra Thornton-Bullock (William) of Thornton, Colorado, Scott Thornton and Glen Thornton both of Greenville, Texas, and her grandchildren Brittany Newton (Chris), Cole Thornton and Dara Thornton-Guthrie (Jacob).

Doris enjoyed reading old Westerns, watching old movies and loved visiting the zoo. She retired from Hunt Regional Health Center after a long career in the health industry and was dedicated to helping care for others.

Doris will be greatly missed by her family. A private service for the family is being planned where we will share stories and say farewell for now to our beautiful mother.
