Doris Parker

Doris Parker, 77, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2013 in Greenville, Texas. Doris was born on July 8, 1936 to George and Suzie Paterni in Wellsburg, Iowa. Doris met and later married Gary Parker on April 27, 1955 in Wellsburg, Iowa. Doris is preceded in death by her parents, George and Suzie; her beloved husband, Gary and one great-grandchild, Haley Bell. Those left to celebrate her life include her sons, Mike Parker and his wife Freida, Donnie Parker and his wife Shelly, Ronnie Parker and his wife Carmen; daughter Connie Wray; grandchildren, Jacob Wray, Britanny Bell, Ethan Parker, Michael Mauldin and his wife Mandy, Ryan Parker and his wife Amy, Brooklyn Sims and husband Jonathan, Summer Parker and Brooks Parker; great-grandchildren, Mattie, Jackson, Chenoa, River; sister, Leola Babcock and husband Duane. Close to her heart were Floyd Wray; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Peters Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held the following day, Monday, October 7, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow the service at Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville, Texas.
