Delbert D. Myers, age 86, of Emory, passed away in the morning hours of Friday, December 04, 2009 at Green Acres Nursing Home in Emory. He was born in Flatts, Texas on December 21, 1922 to Henry and LuLu Plummer Myers, they precede him in death. After high school, Mr. Myers quickly married the love of his life, Nadine. He dedicated the next 70 years of his life to her and his family. He worked most of his life in the construction industry and he owned and operated a driving school. He is survived by one son, Don Myers of Cash; grandchildren, Jimmy Myers and Terry Myers, both of Irving, Doug Myers of Whitehouse, and Lisa Turner and Debbie Myers, both of Mesquite; great-grandchildren, Kindra Myers, Christopher Jones, Michael Turner, Keeley Turner, and Emery Myers; and one brother, Arnold Myers of Washington. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Nadine, and one son, Dwain Myers. Services for Mr. Myers will be held at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, December 6, 2009 at Peters Funeral Home. A burial will take place at Wieland Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday evening from 6 " 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
