Charlie K. Fain, age 73, of Greenville, passed away at his home in the evening hours of Sunday, December 12, 2010. He was born on December 31, 1935 in Dallas to Edward Lowell and Mable Pauline (Hart) Fain, they preceded him in death. Mr. Fain served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean conflict. Following his service, he married Mary Semple and together they shared a lifetime of memories until her passing in 1991. Mr. Fain retired as a route salesman and last worked as a custodian at Houston School in Greenville. He was a member of various military groups including the Veterans of Foreign Wars, AmVets, and American Legion. Mr. Fain also attended North Baptist Church in Greenville. Charlie will be mostly remembered for his unique sense of humor and his ability to create conversation with anyone he met. He was very well liked man whose memory will last in the lives of those he knew and loved. Mr. Fain is survived by two sons, Charles Fain and Larry Fain, both of Greenville; one brother, Harold Fain of Eustace; two grandsons, Charles Marshall of Arlington and Christopher Allen of Greenville; and four great-grandchildren, Jeffery Fain, Mary Fain, Genevieve Fain, and Katie Fain. Services for Mr. Fain will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Peters Funeral Home with Brother Kelly Reagan officiating. Burial will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville. Visitation will be from 6 " 8 P.M. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
