Charles "Chuck" Christiano, 64, of Greenville passed away Monday, July 20, 2015 at his residence. Funeral service will be 2:00pm Friday, July 24, 2015 at Family Fellowship Church with Rev. Paul Blue officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery under the direction of Peters Funeral Home. Family visitation will be 6:00pm until 9:00pm Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Peters Funeral Home, 4201 Wellington in Greenville. Chuck was born January 20, 1951 in Blue Island, Illinois to Wesley Christiano and Mary Voiles Christiano. He married Betty Cornelison August 22, 1970 in Dolton, Illinois. He worked many years as an elevator mechanic with different companies, such as Baxter, B&B, and Economy, until he opened and operated his own elevator repair business. Over the years he and his wife were very active in mission trips and they supported many organizations that have mission activities. Chuck and his wife Betty opened their house as foster parents and they fostered more than 20 children. Chuck was an active member of Gideons International and Family Fellowship Church. Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Betty Christiano of Greenville; daughter Diana Stanley and husband Jeff of Midlothian; daughter Rosa Julian and husband Toby of Odessa; son Nicholas Christiano and wife Emily of Greenville; grandchildren Chase, Colton, Cooper, Jaden, Jaret, Jacelyn, Garrett, Sadie and several foster grandchildren; brother Wesley Christiano and wife Clissy of Mesa, AZ; sister Cheryl Covington of Mesquite; special sister-in-law that was a major part of his life and took care of him the last months Melissa "Sis" Chandler.
