Caston Cass Nation, age 81, of Greenville, passed away in the early evening hours of Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at the Greenville Health and Rehab Center. Mr. Nation was born on August 10, 1926 in Minden, Louisiana to A.B. and Ethel Nation. They precede him in death. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He married his wife of 59 years, Della Ruth Gibson, in Greenville on February 16, 1949. She survives. Cass had a great love for hunting and fishing. Mr. Nation is also survived by his children, Larry Cass Nation, and wife Nancy, Linda Muhl, and husband Kip, Donna Harrison, and Andy Nation; grandchildren, Daniel Clark and wife Kris Ann, Rob Nation, Dustin Clark, Amy Nation, Tess Harrison, and Daniel Harrison; one great-grandchild, McClaine Clark; one brother, Webster Nation; and one sister Evelyn Moak. He was preceded by one grandson, Randy Nation, five sisters, and three brothers. Services for Mr. Nation will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at 9:00 A.M. at Peters Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Guy Wilson and Rev. Bill Shaddox officiating. Burial will follow at McWright Cemetery with his grandchildren serving as pallbearers. In remembrance of his grandson Randy, the family has named him an honorary pallbearer.
