Brandon Robert - Layne Renfro

Brandon Robert - Layne Renfro, a shining light in the lives of all who knew him, was born on November 19, 2014, in Greenville, Texas. He left us too soon on August 24, 2024, in Dallas, Texas, but his spirit will forever remain in our hearts.

Brandon was the embodiment of curiosity and exuberance, a true leader at such a tender age. His inquisitive nature encouraged those around him to learn and explore. A jokester with a contagious laugh, he brought joy wherever he went. Brandon loved being outdoors, often found camping under the stars, climbing trees, or building campfires with his beloved family. His passion for adventure extended to riding his bike and scooter, not merely for fun, but to master new tricks, always determined and self-motivated. Not one to keep his talent to himself, he delighted in teaching other children what he knew.

Academically, Brandon shone bright. He proudly achieved A + B honor roll status in the 3rd grade, a feat he celebrated with unrestrained enthusiasm. He was awarded the Emotions Expert Award at school, highlighting his understanding and empathy towards others, a testament to the remarkable young soul he was becoming. His time at Lamar Elementary School was marked by joy, friendships, and indelible memories that will linger in the halls long after he has gone.

Brandon had a special bond with his grandfather, Chuck Renfro Sr., whom he adored and loved to imitate. His playful storytelling, particularly about Bigfoot, would captivate his friends and family alike, adding just a sprinkle of magic to his already exciting adventures.

He is survived by his loving parents, Chuck and Latrice Renfro, sister Brandie Renfro, and cherished cousins—Khloe and Kameron Jones, as well as Montana Peltier and her husband JB Peltier. Brandon also leaves behind his grandmother, Claudia Rector, along with numerous great aunts, uncles, and cousins who adored him.

Brandon was preceded in death by his grandfather Robert Rector, grandmother Judy Renfro, uncle Darrell Jones, and aunt LaPrecisha Rector. Their memories will now be intertwined with his, a comforting reminder of the love that transcends beyond this life.

As we reflect on Brandon's short yet impactful life, we remember his endless energy, his bright smile, and the warmth he brought to our lives. Though his time with us was fleeting, the joy he spread and the lives he touched will shine brightly in our memories. The world feels a little dimmer without him, but his adventurous spirit will surely continue to spark joy in every campfire, every bike ride, and every tree climbed. Farewell, dear Brandon. You will be deeply missed, but forever loved.
