Billy James Rath

Graveside service for Billy James Rath, age 88, of Greenville, TX. will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, September 12, 2022 at Shady Grove Cemetery in Greenville, TX. with Dr. Russell Rogers officiating. Mr. Rath passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at his residence in Greenville, TX.

Billy was born on July 23, 1934 in Hollis County, Oklahoma to Lawrence and Bessie Rath.  He married Linda Winslett on August 25, 1978 in Rockwall, TX. Billy served in the U.S. Army and National Guard and worked as a manager cable maintenance for Southwestern Bell for many years. He enjoyed woodworking. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Rath of Greenville, TX., and brother, David Rath of Altus, Ok.

Billy was preceded in death by his son, Billy Wayne Rath; parents, Lawrence and Bessie Rath; brother, Lawrence Rath, Jr., and his sister, Betty Faye Himes.
