Billy Don Dudley, Sr., age 66, of Greenville, passed away in the late evening hours of Thursday, June 23, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. Billy Don was born October 21, 1944 in Scottsboro, AL to Albert Cecil and Ruby Lucille (Noe) Dudley, they preceded him in death. From an early age Billy Don knew his lifes work would be as an auto technician. He eventually retired from the Jackson Motor Company in Greenville after 20 years of dedicated service. In his free time Billy Goat, as he was affectionately known, would be found outdoors, gardening, or tinkering with race cars. He was always the first to work and never missed work. Those he leaves behind will remember the one-eyed Billy Goat , his love of life, and his happy-go-lucky spirit. Most of all, people will remember his love for his children. Billy was a member of the American Legion Post 17 in Greenville. Billy is survived by three children, Billy Don Dudley, Jr. of Fresno, CA, Cynthia Lee Tarno of Carrollton, TX, and Jessica Renee Dudley of Greenville; one grandson, Stephen Tarno of Carrollton; and three sisters, Mary McCann of Beloit, KS, Estelle Massingale of Ontario, CA; and Wanda Stout of Beloit, KS. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Larry Joe Dudley. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, June 26, 2011 at the VFW Post 4011 (5200 Wellington St.) in Greenville, Texas.
