Billy Calvery, age 48, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at his home. He was born on November 9, 1961 in Dallas, Texas to Billy Weldon and Oleta Jenkins Calvery, they survive. Billy served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard. He worked as an aircraft mechanic at L-3 Communications in Greenville. In his free time, he loved riding his Harley Davidson. He was a mechanic at heart and loved to take anything apart and put it back together. As much as he loved tinkering and riding, his favorite times were spent with his children and grandchildren. Mr. Calvery is also survived by two children, Alice Eastwood, and husband Jeremiah, of Waco, TX, and Amanda Thibault, and husband Jonathan, of Ft. Gordon, GA; sister, Kathy Kirkpatrick, and husband David, of Sulphur Springs; nephew, Joseph Kirkpatrick, of Sulphur Springs; niece, Linda Beccue, and husband Kyle, of Ft. Mead, Maryland; great-nephew, Joseph Kirkpatrick, Jr.; great-niece, Brinly Beccue; grandchildren, Haley Calvery, Faith Thibault, and Brody Thibault; special friend, Lisa; his best friend and dog, Tater-tot; and numerous cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Odney and Ruth Calvery, Ruth Jenkins, and Curtis Conley. Services for Mr. Calvery will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Peters Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Gould officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 " 8 P.M., Friday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the kidney or diabetes foundation of choice.
