Billie Strawn

Funeral services for Billie R. Strawn, of Greenville, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 1, 2015 at Peters Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Hazelit officiating. Interment will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park with Michael Hoy, Kacey Hamm, Adrian Glover. Ryan Parker, Eric Rice, and Lance Rice serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Peters Funeral Home. Mr. Strawn passed away in Bonham on Wednesday morning, April 29, 2015. He was born July 24, 1926 to Chester Chastain and Lavena Anna Wenig Strawn, in Greenville. He married Addie Mae Reisor, in Greenville, on May 23, 1953. She preceded him in death in March of 2003. He served in the United States Air Force as an Airman 2nd class. He was a farmer, mechanic, and he had an appetite, if there was food, Bille was there too. He was also member of Old Concord Baptist Church. Billie is survived by: daughters, Charlotte Marie Glover (Wade), Pamela Denise Hamm (Jackie), Shelly Gwen Parker (Don), and Nancy Gail Rice (Ricky); brother, Thomas Allen Strawn: eleven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by; three sisters, Lora Fae Chisholm, Dorothy Mae Strawn, and Lois Ann Strawn.
