Barbara Dean

Barbara J. Dean, age 74, of Greenville, passed away in the early morning hours of Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at her residence. Mrs. Dean was born in Jacksonville, Texas to T.C. and Ruth Beachcamp Cleveland on December 10, 1934. Mrs. Dean was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witness in Greenville and Rusk. Survivors include one son, Shawn Dean and wife Martha, of Rusk; four daughters; April Kennedy and husband James of Greenville, Shannon Powell and husband Lawrence Jones of Troup, Hazel Wood of Florida, and Anita Dean and husband Mike of Palestine; eight grandchildren; Taylor Mills, Cassandra Powell, Justin Powell, Kayla Dean, Jason Dean, Dustin Lamb, Ashley Norsworthy, and Amber Norsworthy; one brother; Ed Cleveland of Florida; and two sisters; Gerry Loftin of Jacksonville and Adeline Hale of Denison. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John Dean; two brothers, Bill Cleveland and Tim Cleveland; and three sisters; Johnny Hailston, Mae Zalocka, and Pearlie Cleveland. Cremation arrangements for Mrs. Dean are being handled by Peters Funeral Home.
