Aurora Salazar

Aurora Salazar, 87, of Greenville passed away Monday, December 12, 2016 in Greenville. Funeral service will be 10:00am Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Merit Baptist Church, burial will follow at Merit Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 14, 2016 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Peters Funeral Home.

Aurora was born March 11, 1929 in Matamoros, Mexico to Juan Hernandez and Maria Ramos. She married Claro Castillo Salazar in 1957 in Brownsville, TX. He precedes her in death.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Gildardo Caballero, of Lubbock, Juan Salazar, of Greenville, Abel Salazar, of Kaufman; daughters, Maria Victoria Stoker, of Irving, Margarita Aguirre, of Dallas; grandchildren Tobias, Leon Noe, John Paul, Matthew Olan, Rex, Phillip Isaac, Rachel Alicia, Gabriel Marcos, Abel Joe, Crystal D.; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 2 brothers; 4 sisters; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
